Our wedding day with you at High Rocks on Sunday was absolutely perfect. We cannot thank you and all the team at High Rocks enough. Everything ran like clockwork (even though I was slightly late....!) and all our guests have been saying how beautiful the venue is and how wonderful everyone there was. It had such a relaxed family feel to our day and we didn't worry about a single thing. It was everything we could have hoped for and more.

Huge compliments to your chef for a delicious meal and to your team of waiting staff who got everyone's meal in front of them in the blink of an eye.

Martin was incredible and kept the day flowing seamlessly!

The taxi driver was very patient when we bundled me and the dress in at the end of the night and was great in helping us with everything at the hotel.

Big thank you to Stuart too who was so helpful throughout the day and stayed until the bitter end and still had a huge smile on his face!

And thank you so much to you and Giuseppe for the champagne gift. That was totally unexpected and a lovely addition to our day!

We’d just like to write you this letter to thank you for such an amazing wedding day. Kimberley and I were married at High Rocks on the 8th April 2022 and we had the best day we could have imagined.

The Presidents Suite and Halt were both beautiful, and all of our guests commented on the beauty of High Rocks and its surrounding area. We feel that throughout the process, from first setting foot into the door, to getting in the white taxi at the end, the High Rocks team have been fantastic. We initially booked a date in 2021, but this had to be moved due to covid, however this was done so easily and without any complication, which for us was very nice and reassuring.

Every staff member was great through the day, and all of our guests enjoyed the whole day/evening, as did we, it was amazing. The photo's that we have received and video from the professionals are beautiful, we are so happy that we got to be married at High Rocks.

We'd absolutely recommend High Rocks to anyone and will be returning to celebrate anniversaries in the future with dinner.

Finally got round to thanking you both for a wonderful Christmas Lunch at the High Rocks. I have been organising luncheon functions for Ashdown Probus Club for a number of years and I have to say that yesterday's Christmas lunch was one of the best, if not the best.

When we initially spoke about 18 months ago, you promised hot, quality food served in a timely fashion. Well you more than achieved those promises. Thank you.

The ambience of your restaurants caught the eye of everyone and they were very impressed. The restaurant we had the lunch in was also the right size for our party. Your staff were polite and very efficient, and delivered excellent service.

After 2 cancellations due to lockdowns etc the day finally arrived and despite all the problems you faced during lockdowns you never gave us any doubt that we had made the correct choice in choosing High Rocks as the wedding venue and even despite many emails during the long build up and the changes we were asking right up to the last couple of days, you never waivered in making sure you accommodated us and our requests, I'm sorry we were such a headache but these times means that late problems do occur and you certainly went that extra mile for us as a family.

Your staff were friendly, polite and so helpful and all looked smartly dressed, they covered every aspects and attention to detail was second to none, which resulted in a very well planned day and a very special experience for Stacey and Dean and all their guests, whether day time or evening.

We have had so many compliments on the wedding breakfast and the evening spread that you provided, all the dishes were delicious, well presented and of great portions, how you managed to get the main course served to 120 guests at the same time and piping hot amazed everyone and compliments were being received all the time.

We were also very impressed by your toastmaster Martin, he efficiently carried out his role perfectly and despite the late arrival of the bridesmaids he kept us all at ease with his timings throughout the day and made sure of the celebrations went perfect, thanks Martin.

The resident DJ provided 1st class evening entertainment and helped surprise the groom with a first dance he was not expecting, it amused everyone, the dance floor was packed all night.

A special big thanks to you Giuseppe and Maggie together with Stuart for making the bride and grooms special day so memorable.

As mother of the bride I just wanted to personally say a big Thank-you for making my daughter and son in law Alfie & Nicolas wedding on Saturday a success, after dates being rearranged due to covid you were very accommodating during all of the upheaval this caused. What a magical wedding day at High Rocks! We can't thank Giuseppe, Stuart and Maggie enough for everything they have done for us over the past 18 months - from our initial meeting, to postponing the date and all the last-minute preparations in the days leading up to 16th July.

Postponing last Summer was a tough decision but they were so understanding and transferred our booking to our new date without any issues. Their communication throughout has been great and they would answer any questions quickly. Despite our wedding still being affected by Covid restrictions, they did everything possible to make our day as normal as possible, whilst still adhering to Government guidelines.

The venue itself is undoubtedly the most impressive wedding venue that we have seen; so many of our guests commented on the uniqueness of the rocks and the photos that we have had from the day are stunning. Although we weren't able to use the bar or dance floor, the Barn still looked incredible. The layout of the tables allowed us to have sight of all guests whilst giving us space to move around the room freely. The food was excellent; from the speed in which all 120 guests were served, all food was piping hot and nicely presented. We were impressed with the time taken to cater for our guests with dietary requirements too. The staff on the day were so accommodating; despite requiring table service, there was never a wait for drinks; throughout they were polite, efficient and extremely friendly.

At the end of the evening, the shuttle bus service back to local hotels was extremely beneficial and much appreciated by all those who were able to use it. We are so grateful to High Rocks and all those who were involved in making our day so amazing. We would highly recommend you to anyone who is considering this as a wedding venue in the near future!

The weather was poor with the rain and wind but the reception we had from you and your staff made us feel very welcome and the weather outside was soon forgotten.

Obviously to have the ceremony wholly inside made your work more taxing but with professional commitment to 'Plan B' you made my daughter's day, picture perfect and I am assured the guests had a fabulous time.

The day was difficult but having a great room setup exactly how we wanted with your help made the wake as my Dads would have liked.

My wife and I had our wedding at High Rocks on Friday. We just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the staff at High Rocks. It was a fantastic day and this was due to the hard work, dedication and kindness of all the staff.

Thank you to Maggie and Giuseppe for helping to ensure that everything ran perfectly leading up to and including the day. The final meeting with Giuseppe was really helpful and informative.

We also cannot praise Martin high enough. He was fantastic! He took the stress out of the day completely. He informed us when things were happening and how long we had with a smile on his face at all times. He was also very considerate for my mum, who was in a wheelchair.

Throughout the day he told both my parents what was about to happen five minutes before the rest of the guests so my mum could get there first and avoid the rush. This helped so much and also meant that I didn't have to worry about my mum at any point during the day.

The rest of the staff were extremely helpful and caring for all our guests. They met each of their needs with a smile and were extremely accommodating. Everyone at the wedding commented how amazing the venue and the staff were. They were in awe of the efficiency as well as how fantastic the food was and that it came up so hot.

I could go on forever thanking every part of the day which you made perfect. We just wanted you and your staff to know how much we appreciated everything that was done for us.

The rooms were very nicely laid out, the food was excellent and the staff were most helpful and considerate. The location of High Rocks is beautiful, and I’m sure that it is very popular as a wedding venue, but it was also most appropriate for the purposes for which we booked it and we are very glad that we did so. The peace and tranquillity of the surroundings and the wonderful ambience of the function room themselves were most fitting.

We cannot think of the words to describe how ridiculously happy we were at everything you did for the wedding. Every single person commented on how amazing, professional and just lovely your team were, we really felt how much they cared and truly went above and beyond to give us the perfect day. It was absolutely everything we hoped for and more, and the venue looked stunning! Being in hospitality myself I can’t help but pick holes in things whether it’s a simple meal or someone else wedding (naughty I know!) but we had not one thing we could think of that wasn’t perfect. We will ensure we send our official thank you, reviews and photographs over to you when they’re ready but we didn’t want to wait that long to send our thanks. Please also send my thanks to both Bobs (Toastmaster & DJ), Bob number 1 had to take on lots of bridesmaid responsibilities as I had a couple of younger bridesmaids who weren’t too keen on jobs! I’m very grateful for this. And Bob number 2 did a great job even though we never did get round to giving him any direction on songs we wanted to hear.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the SEEL ball on Saturday. Firstly, it was a stunning venue. Everything went like clockwork, from hanging up of coats, grabbing a welcome drink to nibbling canapes. The meal was superb, my kind of food. Julian said it was the first time he’d eaten with me that I hadn’t moaned about the food ! And how did they manage to serve so many people, at the same time, with well-cooked home food? I was particularly impressed by the way the water jugs were kept topped up regularly at each table.

All in all, it was a superb function with a lovely atmosphere.

Our very many thanks for the absolutely superb service we received from your good selves and all your staff at the High Rocks. Adam was a wonderful Maitre’d and attended to our every need. The reception in the Conservatory in the Halt worked so well for us. As we expected the meal was wonderful and delicious, main course served up steaming hot. We made an excellent choice in coming to the High Rocks for the first time and the feedback I received from all quarters was that this year’s October Annual Dinner was our best one ever and the High Rocks DJ made our evening complete with a wonderful range of music and dance numbers which our many young guests enjoyed immensely, as did our older guests including the Mayor and Mayoress and of course myself and partner, Linda.

Our evening at the Halt was certainly one we will happily remember for a long time to come.

We honestly do not know where to start! We had the most perfect wedding day at your venue! Every single part of the day (and build up to the wedding) ran smoothly. As soon as we walked in to view the venue we knew that it was the one! We met Stuart and Martin (our amazing toastmaster) and booked our wedding that same day.

Firstly, the grounds and surrounding area, including the rocks, are stunning! Having 186 guests, we were worried in case there wasn’t enough room. However, there was more than enough. Absolutely everything is well kept, including the gardens, grass and the rocks. Every single guest that we spoke to, commented on how amazing the grounds were!

The service we received was AMAZING! Everything ran like clockwork (the timings, the ceremony, the meal etc). Again, all guests commented on how efficient and professional every single member of staff was. A lovely lady at the bar at the reception came out from behind the bar and covered me with a cloth while I drank a shot so that it didn’t go on my dress! Also I think his name is Jeremy – he was amazing too. Not forgetting our toastmaster, Martin! He made all guests feel at ease and kept them laughing. Most importantly though, he knew what he was doing and even more to the point – what myself, Sara and all of the other guests should have been doing and when. He is an asset to you.

A massive thank you to Maggie also, who met with us and emailed me on numerous occasions to keep me updated with everything. So thank you so much for all smiling and being genuinely happy to help! I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone as every single person made our day what it was).

The food was amazing and everyone said it was hot.

We will 100 % recommend it and will be back to visit the restaurant in the near future.

I just wanted to email you from both myself and husband Danny to say thank you so much for making our special day so so perfect on the 9th September last year. Cannot thank you enough, every detail was covered from start to finish and we had the best day at ease that everything was taken care of.

Everyone commented on the beautiful venue, great staff and lovely food. Many even said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!!! Every worry that we ever had about the day not going to plan went out of the window when we arrived and we couldn't of wished for it to go any better than it did.

Our pictures are stunning and that is not only thanks to our amazing photographer Sabrina, but also due to the venue being so beautiful. Everyone at High Rocks helped to make our day so magical up until the very last minute at 2am!!!!

Special thanks to...

Jeremy who was great all day making sure all of our guests were well looked after and nothing was too much trouble at all. Even down to making sure that our Nan's were provided as much tea as they liked all day and especially checking that my Mum and Dad were ok as although being Mother and Father of the Bride is one of the proudest days you will have. I'm sure it's also quite daunting, although they never said!

Maggie, Giuseppe and Jeremy for all your help with the preparations and never making it seem like it was any trouble when I called for the hundredth time to ask a question :) you made me feel so at ease. For all the planning, timings, set out of the venue etc...

...and Martin, for pointing us in the right direction throughout the day and making sure it all ran like clockwork. Even finding out my size and running down from the rocks to get me some flip flops as my heels were killing me during the photos and for greeting me with a umbrella so I didn't get wet when it started raining. The small things that mean so so so much that you remember.

In addition to that, the list of suppliers etc.. you supplied us with that we must choose from. I must say at first when I mentioned it to family members they said oh you could have used this person for your flowers or that person etc... but now I understand why you only use these as your recommended people as they are all brilliant and I'm so pleased we did!! Sabrina Stockwell Photography, Flowers and Sparkle, Swirls and Sparkle Cakes, TC Photobooths were all amazing and couldn't do enough for you.

It will be a day we never forget, thank you.

Firstly, I would like to apologise for the delay in writing to you both, but after Rachel and Darren’s wedding, we went away on holiday and only returned today.

David and I would like to thank you both most sincerely for making Rachel and Darren’s wedding on 17th August, such a wonderful, memorable and happy occasion, which everyone enjoyed.

When we first visited High Rocks over a year ago, we were stuck by the warmth, sincerity and professionalism of both Jeremy and Martin whom we met. They were most hospitable with the outside area. In the year that followed that meeting, we visited High Rocks to eat in the restaurant and the bar and to meet our chosen photographer and florist and it quickly became apparent that you have a devoted, loyal team, who work tirelessly, many of whom have been with you for the last 25-30 years who clearly enjoy what they do. Nothing seemed too much trouble and we felt confident that you could cope with anything, which cropped up. We really cannot praise you and your staff highly enough.

The actual day was perfect for Rachel and Darren and everything was so well organised. Although Jeremy had been superb in answering our many questions beforehand, both on the telephone and in person and was so reassuring, unfortunately, he wasn’t present on the day itself, but we would also like to say a special thank you to Martin – The Master of Ceremonies, who was incredibly efficient and did a fantastic job at organising our guests from beginning to end, not to mention the speeches!

Our chosen venue was the Great Hall Barn, which suited our needs perfectly, with it’s various distinct areas and fairy lights twinkling, the tables laid beautifully and decorated with flowers. The Barn was exactly what Rachel and Darren wanted. Every single member of the team was friendly, courteous, helpful and worked so hard, especially when we had a significant number of babies and young children, who had specific needs and also various guests with mobility difficulties, who were conveyed up to the High Rocks area in wheel chairs, in order that they weren’t left our of that section of the wedding. We all enjoyed the beautiful three-course meal, which was served quickly and efficiently, followed by coffee and mints.

Thank you again Giuseppe, Maggie and all your wonderful team. You have something truly special at High Rocks and we will certainly be returning to visit you all. We wish you continued success in the future.

We arrived a bit early for the golden wedding and the lady from the monument let me park outside in a disabled bay, she also helped me put the wheelchair together and Adam appeared as if by magic and whisked my delighted mother into your lovely venue and along to the stairs. He then helped my mother up the stairs, she felt really safe and he let her stop and rest as needed. He took her into the room and followed with the gifts and bags. He let me leave the folded chair at the side of the plant out of the way and was so kind. When my Mum had become tired (remembering Adam was in full charge of the golden wedding meal and drinks and other staff) she stood up and he was back again to take her to the stairs and down. I had the chair ready and he pushed mum back to the car. She praised his help all the way to Maidstone and promised I would email you to let you know that your Adam, made mum's first outing since a month in hospital, a lovely experience. He also took all the worry from me and was a delightful maitre d the celebration.

Please can you pass on our grateful thanks to Adam, and our happiness that you employ Adam. He is a real treasure and turned a worrying visit into a delightful afternoon,

I wanted to write and say a personal thank you to ALL the staff there that day that had anything to do with the event. Due to the very professional manner in which they went about their duties, our day was flawless. We wanted to drop you an email to say thank you for making our party on Saturday so enjoyable. All our guests thought High Rocks was lovely and some have already said they will be coming back.
We had lots of positive feedback about all aspects of the evening. There was great feedback about the buffet with the chicken and potato fries a big favourite. All the staff were so lovely too. The bar staff did an amazing job, all with a smile on their faces and a friendly attitude, so a special thank you to them. No request was too much trouble and we so appreciated the cake being cut up and put into the cake boxes, I believe around 130 boxes were filled. The DJ was also great, Mark played all the songs on our playlist and seemed to know exactly what other music to play. We have also received comments that the security guys were extremely friendly and helpful, assisting our guests with the minibus so they could all get back to their hotels.
You have some truly lovely staff, how they remain so friendly and polite with drunken guests at 2.30am (which is the time we finally left) is a credit to High Rocks.

We married at High Rocks on the 21st November and couldn't have asked for a better day. We married in the Halt room and it looked stunning. Everything ran smoothly and the staff were on hand for any request, no matter how big or small, and helped with enthusiasm and care.
We had photos out on the rocks, which look fantastic. It's such a beautiful setting. The staff meanwhile transformed the room for our wedding breakfast and you wouldn't have known we got married in the same room an hour earlier. The food was excellent (hot, delicious and all came out at the same time) as was the service throughout. We then drank and danced until 2am (the venue staying open this late was a real bonus).
We couldn't finish without saying how fantastic Maggie & Giuseppe have been throughout the whole process too. From the first time we looked round the venue with Giuseppe we knew that this was the venue we wanted to get married in. No question was too much. The various suppliers they recommended were also brilliant.

The room looked beautiful, the food was fantastic, professionally served, nice and hot. The whole day ran smoothly – our guests have been full of praise regarding the event, the music and the wonderful setting, we were also lucky with the weather! Thanks to all the waiting and bar staff, our Toastmaster, David, who was a really nice man, Martin and also your other helpful gentleman, Noel (I think his name was, apologies if wrong),in particular, for his calm presence. The drivers at the end of the night, were so helpful and still in good spirits at 2 am! We cannot fault a thing, thank you so much.

With so many weddings we can’t understand how you can make a couple feel so special on their day – but you did. From the very start when we first looked at the venue and walking into the Great Hall Barn I knew it was going to be something special and it most certainly was! With all your help and guidance everyone ran so smoothly from start to finish, even organizing the beautiful weather on the day!

On the day all your staff, and especially martin, were most helpful, and although you knew they were there, it was almost as if they were invisible. The food was beautiful and I don’t think anyone could complain that they went away hungry. The service from the time we arrived until we left was second to none with nothing being too much trouble, all your staff are most certainly a credit to you.

Everyone had a fantastic day with many comments as to what a stunning place it was, not just the venue itself, but of course, the Rocks, with several nieces and friends saying that this is where they would like to get married! (I believe there has been a booking for 2017 from a friend of a friend), and I would most certainly recommend High Rocks to anyone.

Just want to say how much we all enjoyed Mothers Day yesterday and to thank you for giving us a table right in front of the pleasant and enjoyable singer, Alexandra Leckie.

A special mention too, to the attentive waiters, for whom nothing was too much trouble. A nice meal, nice plants for our three mums, nice surroundings and nice atmosphere……..couldn't ask for any more.

But, with all these compliments, please don't increase the price next year and we shall return!

My daughter can put a large potion of the funds raised towards her project to build her own orphanage in Tanzania and in the meantime have enough for the every day needs of the children in the orphanage she visits regularly.

It is now a week since our son was married at High Rocks. During the last week my wife and I have been able to enjoy our memories of the day, dwelling on the many high spots of the wedding. The fact that we are able to enjoy these memories is due in no small part to the part played by High Rocks and its excellent staff.
All the arrangements went well. From the outset, the staff were helpful and considerate and quietly efficient in the performance of their duties. The service during the meal was very good and the food was of a very good quality and was enjoyed by all the guests.
The good service and good food continued into the evening. The buffet was very good and it is a testament to its quality that it was consumed so rapidly, with very little being left over. The bar staff were considerate and helpful towards everyone.
The venue was perfect, both internally and externally, as it provided an exciting location which was intriguing and which provided a good visual background for photography.
We would like to say thank you to all the staff who were on duty that day, also for the efficient organisation and good advice given prior to the wedding.

We just had to drop you an email to let you know what a fantastic day we had at our wedding on 30th June. From start to finish the day was all that we could have dreamed of and more. All the staff were brilliant; efficient and attentive. The toast master had a great sense of humour, kept everything running like clockwork and kept me very calm after my late arrival. The weather was good to us on the day and we can't wait to see the photos that were taken in the beautiful gardens and around the rocks. We had so many comments on how great the food was and we both agree wholeheartedly. The roasted saddle of lamb was delicious and we had remarks about the "best cheesecake every". A quick note of thanks to you all for hosting Madeleine's and Stuart's wedding on Easter Saturday April 7th. The confidence you all gave out during our several planning visits was justified on the day – all involved did their utmost to make sure that our day went as smoothly as possible. Both the Ceremony Room (Giuseppe's) and the Halt were transformed and needed little decoration on our part, the food was amazing (I still can't work out how you serve so many so quickly, with food of a consistent high standard!) and the final cherry on the cake was the shuttle bus service at the end to get our guests back to their hotels. We couldn't have wished for a better venue and will definitely recommend your services to our friends. Wonderful.

Everyone commented on the food as to how good it was and the vegetarians actually said how wonderful the asparagus and pea risotto was. I loved every part of the meal but I did think the white wine sauce for the chicken was superb, as did Martin's father sat next to me! And we were right! Our wedding day exceeded all expectations. Not only did we have a perfect day but many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to. The staff were courteous and went above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy. Our toastmaster Martin did an exceptional job making sure the whole day went exactly to plan. The resident DJ kept us dancing all night long. The courtesy mini bus was also a great touch!
You all gave us a perfect day, one we will remember forever and we couldn't be more grateful.

Last Thursday I attended the last function of the Rob Key's Benefit season and enjoyed myself so much I felt I just had to write. The whole ambience is wonderful with the exposed beams giving it very much a country feel. First things first and the choice of well real ales in the bar was excellent and at decent prices. The staff were most pleasant and attentive so nothing to fault there. When we sat down for lunch, the service was prompt and well organised and to food was superb, beautifully cooked and piping hot. I was particularly impressed with the individual covers which I've not seen at a venue of this type before.
